We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer
The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical piping systems and components to meet project requirements and industry standards. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including civil/structural, electrical, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into final products, conducting detailed analyses and calculations to validate design concepts. Additionally, the position requires mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Ultimately, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will drive the successful delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects that align with organizational goals and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical piping systems from initial requirements through to production.
Perform detailed engineering analyses including fluid dynamics simulations to validate design integrity and performance.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure designs meet constructability, cost, and quality standards.
Develop and review technical documentation such as specifications, drawings, and models to support design development and compliance.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Manage project timelines and resources effectively to meet milestones and deliverables.
Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance work-product quality and efficiency.
Competencies:
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including fluid mechanics.
Experience with engineering analysis tools (such as CAESAR II and AFT Fathom, AutoPIPE and PIPE-FLO) preferred.
Familiarity with pipelines, piping systems, and terminal operations.
Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional critical thinking skills aligned with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
Required Experience and/or Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
8+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, design, and development.
