The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing medication refill requests, filling prescriptions and food orders, and communicating with veterinary staff. They also handle pharmacy phone calls and ensure dosage forms are flavored for pets according to practice standards.
Candidates must have knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy regulations and previous retail pharmacy experience. The role requires the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items up to 30 lbs.
Angell Animal Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team.
This position requires knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy regulations and some previous retail pharmacy practice experience. If you are working in a retail Pharmacy, consider bringing your skills to our veterinary hospital for a refreshing and unique change in your career! Duties will include answering and addressing pharmacy phone calls, processing medication refill requests, relaying medication orders to outside practices, communicating with veterinary staff regarding prescription orders, filling medication and prescription food orders and flavoring various pet friendly dosage forms following basic pharmacy practice.
Certified Pharmacy Technicians starting $21-$28/hr.
