Candidates must be Gas Safe registered with relevant commercial qualifications and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering. A full UK driving licence and experience in commercial gas systems are essential for this role.

Location: Northwest Midlands (Based from HMP Stafford – covering regional sites) Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance) Salary: £35,504 – £44,830 (depending on experience) + van & fuel card

If you’re a skilled Gas Engineer or Plumber looking for variety, stability, and clear career progression, this role offers the opportunity to work across a small regional patch (approx. 8 sites), keeping essential facilities running safely and efficiently.
No two days are the same—but you’ll always have the backing of a well-established contract and a company that invests in you.
What you’ll be doing
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
Servicing and inspecting appliances, including combustion analysis & testing
Working on boilers, heaters, water systems and ventilation
Supporting upgrades, installations and minor works
Ensuring safe, compliant working in line with industry and site standards
What we’re looking for
Gas Safe registered with commercial qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/A)
Experience working on commercial gas systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Additional qualifications or experience in regulated environments are a bonus—but not essential.
