The technician is responsible for conducting materials testing and monitoring construction operations to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Daily tasks include performing field tests on soil, aggregate, and concrete, and preparing detailed reports for project managers.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in construction materials testing and a high school diploma, with an associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology preferred. Required or preferred certifications include ACI Field Testing Technician and WAQTC or ICC certifications.

The Testing Technician is responsible for conducting materials testing, monitoring construction operations, performing field tests and special inspections (depending on experience and qualifications), and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities will include soil, aggregate and asphalt density testing, concrete testing, collecting samples, recording data, preparing reports and working closely with project managers to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
