Aegean Baltic Bank is seeking a skilled Derivatives Trader to join its Treasury Department.
The successful candidate will support the execution and monitoring of derivatives transactions, primarily for hedging and client-driven purposes, in line with the Bank’s policies and risk framework. The role forms part of the broader Treasury function, contributing to the management of liquidity, foreign exchange and interest rate risk.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a structured Treasury environment, developing market knowledge and practical exposure to financial instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the execution of derivatives transactions (e.g. FFAs, FX forwards, swaps, IRS) within approved limits
Assist in monitoring financial markets and pricing movements across FX, interest rates and liquidity
Contribute to the development and structuring of tailored investment products to meet the needs of our clientele
Help track and maintain trading positions in line with internal limits and procedures
Support client-related treasury transactions in coordination with internal teams
Collaborate with Risk, Finance and Back Office to ensure smooth processing and reporting of trades
Contribute to internal reporting of Treasury activities
Maintain awareness of market developments and regulatory requirements
Support improvements in reporting and analytical tools where needed
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or a related field
3–5 years of relevant experience in Treasury / derivatives dealing, preferably within a banking environment
Good understanding of derivatives instruments (FFAs, FX forwards, swaps, options, interest rate derivatives)
Good knowledge of financial markets, particularly FX and interest rate markets
Familiarity with trading platforms (e.g. Bloomberg) and treasury systems
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Professional certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) will be considered an asset
