Description

Aaction Rents is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Yard Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for keeping the equipment yard clean, safe, and organized; preparing rental equipment for customers; and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has basic mechanical knowledge, and is comfortable assisting customers with a variety of construction, landscaping, and heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload rental equipment safely and efficiently. 
• Demonstrate the safe and proper operation of rental equipment to customers. 
• Inspect, clean, and service equipment following established “ready-to-rent” procedures. 
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized yard and work areas. 
• Anticipate customer needs and respond promptly and professionally. 
• Work closely with team members to support daily operations. 
• Complete assigned tasks based on the needs of the department. 
• Participate in at least 20 hours of continued education and training each year. 
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
• Strong communication and customer-service skills. 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
• Basic mechanical skills. 
• Basic knowledge of heavy-duty equipment, lawn and garden equipment, or construction tools is preferred. 
• Willingness to learn about rental equipment and its proper operation. 
• Ability to remain professional and customer-focused in a fast-paced environment. 

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Frequently squat, reach, push, and pull. 
• Stand or sit for extended periods. 
• Regularly lift and move items weighing 25, 50, and up to 80 pounds. 
• Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. 
• Move safely over uneven terrain and work in confined spaces. 
• Hear and respond quickly to sounds and warnings. 
• Recognize and respond appropriately to potentially dangerous situations. 
• Work outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
