How Monroe went from profile to offer in 18 days
Monroe had applied for plenty of engineering jobs the usual way. Retype the resume, learn a new form, wait. On Clera the profile went in once, and the companies came to him instead.
About Monroe
Monroe is a software engineer who has applied for a lot of jobs. Enough to know exactly how the process usually goes, and exactly how long it takes.
He now works at Superchat, the Berlin messaging platform that pulls WhatsApp, Instagram, email and half a dozen other channels into a single inbox. He found the role through Clera, eighteen days after signing up.

The old way of applying
Before Clera it was LinkedIn, cold messages and cold emails. Then the applicant trackers: Ashby at one company, Greenhouse at the next, each one asking for a history his resume already contained.
Often I would have to re-put everything into the forms themselves and then re-apply, and everything would be a special process for every single place. It took forever, frankly.
None of that work carried over. Every company was its own project, and the effort bought no signal about whether the role was worth applying to in the first place.
One profile, then interviews
On Clera the profile went in once. A few matched roles came back, Monroe picked the ones he wanted and answered whatever extra questions each company had asked for. The whole thing took under an hour.
Then he stopped working and the replies started.
By the next day I had multiple emails. I was getting genuinely so many interviews that I could not keep up with them.
One morning turned the search inside out. Instead of a queue of applications waiting on someone else, Monroe had a calendar problem.
Why Clera worked
Monroe had done this enough times to notice what was different, and it was not just the speed.
I did see these companies coming to me instead of me going to these companies.
- One profile, not one form per company
- The profile goes in once. No retyping the same history into a different applicant tracker for every role.
- The roles come to you
- Matched roles arrive already picked against the profile. Monroe chose which were worth his time instead of hunting for them.
- Replies the next morning
- Not a confirmation receipt weeks later. Actual interview requests, enough of them to be a scheduling problem.
- Free for candidates
- Clera is paid by the company that hires, and only once an offer signs. Candidates pay nothing.
