Alexander Barrett

I am currently a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Digital Accelerator AI/ML Products group at Raytheon Technologies. I’m this role I am responsible for transitioning ML research into production grade software packages, maintaining existing in house data science libraries, and developing applied data science projects with Raytheon Technologies business units. Previously, I worked as a Data Engineer in the AI Center of Excellence at Collins Aerospace where I was responsible for the development of data pipelines for use in various AI applications and the productionization and maintenance of AI application infrastructure. I joined Raytheon Technologies as an Associate in the Digital Technology Leadership Rotational Program (DTLP). Throughout my time in the DTLP, I focused on generating cost savings value through the development and promotion of data science and analytics projects across multiple business units, impacting business areas from supply chain to manufacturing operations to engineering. My rotation assignments included Analytics Developer on the Business Analytics & Data Science team at Pratt & Whitney, Systems Analyst on the Smart Factory team at Collins Aerospace, and Data Science Product Owner on the Digital Accelerator AI/ML Products team at RTX Corporate. I completed my M.S. in Applied & Computational Mathematics program at Johns Hopkins University, where my coursework focused in machine learning and statistics, helping to strengthen my knowledge in data science and further my career as a data science professional. I graduated from Boston Univeristy with a B.A. in Mathematics & Economics and am an alumni brother of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. I am passionate about my career in data science and technology. I have professional experience in data analytics and visualization, data science and machine learning.
