General Function/Role Purpose:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II), you will be a fully experienced quality engineer with complete knowledge of the specialization, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and reliability of ZoomInfo software products. You will be recognized as an automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team, performing work independently with minimal oversight and advising others on difficult matters.
What You'll do:
- Automation Expertise: Exhibit in-depth understanding of automation principles and tools. Design efficient, maintainable automation suites for diverse scenarios. Develop and implement deterministic automation cycles to ensure thorough test coverage. Proactively identify opportunities to expand test coverage and guide others on best practices.
- Test Strategy & Design: Design comprehensive test strategies that reflect authentic user experiences. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans covering all layers of the test pyramid, adapting testing approaches to resolve issues and ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Problem Solving & Quality Assurance: Demonstrate expertise in quality assurance principles and adapt approaches to resolve complex issues. Devise solutions by adapting existing approaches. Proactively identify potential customer pain points and devise creative testing solutions. Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact customer trust in the software.
- Data Analysis: Leverage data analysis to identify root causes and devise solutions to diverse problems. Proactively use metrics to track progress, assess quality, and keep work aligned to objectives. Persuade and advise others on data-driven approaches to enhance team efficiency and impact.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate cross-functionally and with senior stakeholders to align automation and quality initiatives with overall business objectives and project goals. Enhance relationships with senior partners unfamiliar with the subject matter and adapt communication style to different audiences. Enhance relationships, often persuading others, to resolve issues; advises on difficult quality matters to drive alignment. Use sophisticated problem-solving to resolve a wide range of collaborative issues and suggest variations in approach to improve teamwork.
What you bring:
- 2+ years in SDET role.
- Familiar Javascript / Typescript.
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Application Development Lifecycle.
- Experience with Automation frameworks like Playwright, Pact, cypress or similar.
- Experience with complex systems and features testing.
- Experience with complex E2E testing.
- Good ability writing test specifications.
- A passion for coding, specifically designing validation and testability into the code.
- Understanding of n-tier architecture and related testing strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
