We are seeking a full-time Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to join California Bank & Trust in Crenshaw, CA. The Branch Relationship Banker plays a key role in delivering comprehensive financial services and cultivating long-term client relationships to support branch success.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Delivers comprehensive banking services to new and existing clients, maintaining a primary focus on proactive sales and exceptional service.
  • Manages new account openings, consumer loan origination, and client service requests with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolves complex client inquiries and concerns promptly through direct personal action or strategic internal referrals.
  • Recommends appropriate banking products and services, including commercial lending solutions, to expand client relationships.
  • Executes cash transactions, opens or updates accounts, and originates and closes consumer or small business loans.
  • Cultivates and maintains robust client relationships by delivering personalized service tailored to individual financial needs.
  • You may be reassigned to an alternate location depending on business needs within a reasonable distance (30 miles of branch location) and given proper notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience in sales, teller, new accounts or loan processing or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a financial sales representative-oriented role preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of retail products, services, transactions, and basic consumer lending applications.
  • Proven customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated skills in effective selling, cross-selling, and referring financial products to meet client needs.
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $23 - $29 hourly depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
