About this role

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will play a key role in having the requested equipment available in the demand export location on commercial demand for the lowest cost. In addition, his/ her role is to analyse and to take corrective actions in case of wrong data or changes in trends.

Major areas of responsibility

Equipment Control

  • Monitor regional container inventory across ports, terminals, depots, and inland locations.
  • Analyze equipment supply and demand to ensure optimal container availability.
  • Execute equipment positioning and repositioning plans to balance regional inventories.
  • Identify equipment shortages and surpluses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support empty equipment optimization initiatives to improve utilization and reduce costs.

Budget Control

• Monitor container repair activities and ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Review and approve estimates according to company guidelines.
  • Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Coordinate with depots, surveyors, and service providers regarding repair activities.
  • Support M&R budget control and performance monitoring.

Reporting, Analysis & Projects

• Prepare and maintain operational reports and KPI dashboards using BI and logistics systems.

  • Analyze equipment performance, inventory trends, and operational data.
  • Support forecasting and decision-making processes through data analysis.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in regional logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics
  • Previous student experience in the field- An advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel)
  • High level of English in speaking and writing- a must
  • Capable to work under high pressure
