About The Team

We are looking for a new Supplier Quality Engineer for our Wind Power business at our location of Tianjin, China. 

What you can look forward to as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer:

• The local Supplier Quality Engineers must ensure, for one or more dedicated commodities, the adequate quality of the products and services delivered to their plant, will theretofore execute supplier development (typical preventive measures) and the supplier quality activities (typical operational and corrective of nature) related to the suppliers in their commodity. The local Supplier Quality Engineers should look out for potential cost out opportunities, where applicable.
• Supplier readness during gate reviews. 
• Managing complaints and support the supplier reached quality KPI on plant level for the respective commodities: ppm, complaint ratio and SNCC, also be responsible for the cost recovery ratio. 
• Supplier Development: Monitor and analyze the quality performance of the suppliers and execute improvement projects at the supplier when targets are not met. Align quality targets with the suppliers and perform process and technological audits. Support the supplier and plants meet related quality target like PPM, Complains resolvement, SNCC, and passed audit. 
• Support for the change management in projects if necessary. 
• Support commodity and program purchasing. 
• Support company's long term quality, safety and enviroment optimazation.  

Your Profile as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in casting engineering or relevant field in mechanical engineering or metallurgy. At least 5 years’ working experience in foundry (or relevant experience); with the knowledge of Bearing, or Heat Treatment, or Steel & Forging marterials and processes technologies.
• Commodity specific technology: Heavey medal related commodity specific technology (operations and inspections) like Bearing, or Heat Treatment, or Steel & Forging is mandatory, finish machining and 3D CMM measurement is strongly recommended; Required to have comprehensive knowledge or be skilled of conducting quality related topics like: 8D problem solving, APQP quality planning, VDA6.3 process audits, FMEA product and process risk assessments, Technical statistics, IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Basics.
• Be fluent in both English and Chinese as working language and eligible to work in China.
