Mission

Zelestra’s Global Business Services center in Costa Rica is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Record to Report team. In this role you will support the accuracy and integrity of financial information across 8 countries, working closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal and IT teams.

Responsibilities

General Ledger & Month-End Close

  • Post journal entries: accruals, reversals, payroll, intercompany, provisions and deferrals
  • Execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end close; prepare and distribute trial balance

Reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations across all entities
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations; manage clearing accounts and resolve open items

Fixed Assets

  • Maintain fixed asset register: additions, disposals, depreciation and transfers
  • Reclassify WIP assets to operation; support periodic physical inventories (CR)

Corporate Governance & Legal

  • Maintain Corporate Org Chart, Legal Hub data and electronic certificates
  • Support intercompany contracts, LEI codes, Powers of Attorney and new entity creation

Regulatory Reporting

  • Spain: INE surveys (EEE, ICT, CIS, Climate), CNMC report, Aforix declarations
  • Costa Rica: D-150, D-102, Formulario 270, PROCOMER annual report and canon payment

Payroll, VAT & Continuous Improvement

  • Process payroll journal entries in SAP; monthly VAT compensation across applicable entities
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or in progress)
  • Minimum 2 years in Accounting — Shared Services or multinational environment preferred
  • SAP experience required; other ERP a plus; Advanced Excel
  • Spanish required; English intermediate (B1+)
  • Knowledge of IFRS, SOX controls, fixed assets, intercompany and bank reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented, proactive and high integrity
