Mission

Develop and coordinate the engineering associated with the interconnection processes with grid managers, public administrations of photovoltaic plants in different projects at an international level, coordinating the different internal areas involved in Zelestra.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of plant interconnection process 
  • Planning of deliveries to different agencies
  • Contracting of specialized studies
  • Meetings with utilities 
  • Electrical studies with advanced level management of electrical studies SW (mainly Digsilent) although other SW such as PSCAD and/or ETAP will be considered.
    • Load flow
    • Short circuit
    • Coordination of protections
    • Harmonic studies.
    • Transient stability studies
    • Grounding
  • Management and coordination of power quality measurement campaigns (pre/post connection).
  • Management and coordination with certifying entities for testing compliance with grid code in photovoltaic solar plants.
  • Power quality studies
  • Analysis and evaluation of international grid codes applicable to solar plants and plant sizing for compliance.
  • Analysis of stationary applications with storage systems
  • Sizing and design of energy storage applications
  • Assist in meeting Quality, M&S and MA objectives and goals established by management.
  • Know and comply with regulations, manuals and procedures that affect their work.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Requirements
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering - Specialty Electricity / Renewable Energies
  • Microsoft office
  • Digsilent
  • Experience in similar functions in renewable generation projects (mainly PV plants and/or wind farms).
