Position Snapshot

As our U.S. portfolio continues to grow, we are building NOVA Hub, our next-generation Renewable Operations Control Center. We are seeking a Renewable Operations Control Center Director to lead the design, build, and launch of NOVA Hub in Dallas, Texas.

 

During the first 12–24 months, this role will focus primarily on program development, organizational design, technology implementation, and change leadership. As the center matures, the Director will transition into strategic oversight of the managers and teams responsible for 24/7 operations.

 

This is an opportunity for a builder who can take a complex operating vision from concept through launch.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power generation, utilities, renewable energy, control center operations, or operational technology.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience building, launching, or transforming a control center, operations function, or complex technology platform.
  • Strong program management, change leadership, vendor management, and organizational design experience.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, historian, CMMS, ERP, OT/IT integration, cybersecurity, and operational data systems.
  • Experience with analytics, automation, predictive maintenance, or digital technologies.
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dallas, Texas.

Position Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and launch of NOVA Hub.
  • Develop the operating model, governance, staffing plan, procedures, and implementation roadmap.
  • Partner across Operations, IT, OT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Asset Management, and Commercial teams.
  • Lead vendor selection and implementation for SCADA, analytics, communications, and operational technology platforms.
  • Build and recruit the ROCC organization, including operators, analysts, technical specialists, and leaders.
  • Establish training, qualification, escalation, incident response, and business continuity processes.
  • Oversee long-term monitoring and control of Zelestra’s U.S. solar, battery storage, and wind portfolio.
  • Establish performance metrics covering availability, response time, energy yield, safety, and operating cost.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable NERC reliability and CIP requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $145,000 - $175,000 annually.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
