ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology

Enabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips

Working for tomorrow today.

Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.

In this role, you will be responsible for the content-related and organizational management of product control systems in the electronics and software environment. You will work at the interface between development, internal and external stakeholders, and other relevant partners, supporting the product from requirements definition through to transfer into series production.

Your role

  • coordinate a team of developers in the field of electronics and software from both a technical and organizational perspective
  • capture and align requirements and development goals for the product software together with internal and external stakeholders
  • derive sub-goals, timelines, iterations, and deliverables from requirements and plan their implementation
  • plan and manage budgets as well as agile development teams to achieve project milestones
  • resolve technical and scheduling conflicts together with the team and develop viable MVP solution approaches
  • manage external service providers and evaluate and approve development progress
  • transfer the sub-product into series production and support lifecycle-related activities
  • take up change requests from customer projects and drive the further development of the product

You can look forward to a responsible role in a high-tech environment in which you will actively shape products and significantly contribute to their path to series maturity.

Your profile

  • successfully completed degree in computer science, mechatronics, electronics, physics, or a comparable field
  • solid professional experience in the development of embedded systems up to series maturity as well as in coordinating development teams
  • very good knowledge of project management in product development; certification according to GPM or IPMA is an advantage
  • experience in requirements engineering and systems engineering as well as in agile ways of working
  • strong analytical skills, a quick grasp of complex topics, and a high willingness to learn
  • very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
