Position Summary: Yeshiva University, an NCAA Division III institution in New York City and a member of the Skyline Conference, is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant men's and women's volleyball coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of both programs.
Position Responsibilities: 

Duties include but are not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes, student-athlete development, running of training sessions, film breakdown, and match preparation. The assistant coach will also be responsible for working with athletics staff to support and uphold the philosophy, goals, and mission of both the university and the YU athletics program.

  • Assist the head men's and women's volleyball coach in all aspects of both programs, including running practices and developing match strategies
  • Individual skills instruction and player development
  • A commitment to learning NCAA Division III rules and regulations
  • A dedication and commitment to building successful NCAA Division III men and women's volleyball programs
  • Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and alumni
  • Attend practices and matches
  • Ability to work nights, Sundays, and maintain a flexible work schedule
Experience & Education Background:
  • A minimum of two years of college, high school, or club coaching experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong volleyball background with an ability to lead and teach technical skills by example
  • Comfort level running a practice in the absence of the head coach
