Sales Executive – Brazil Branch
Job Responsibilities
1. Develop the local Brazilian market through trade fairs, industry associations, online platforms, and personal networks. Identify and acquire Brazilian foreign-trade companies, cross-border e-commerce sellers, and local importers and exporters with international ocean freight needs.
2. Gain an in-depth understanding of customers’ logistics requirements, including FCL/LCL ocean freight, air freight, and overseas warehousing. Provide customized quotations and one-stop logistics solutions while achieving individual shipment volume and gross profit targets.
3. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Regularly follow up on shipment plans and payment collection, and identify referral opportunities and new business potential from existing accounts.
4. Work closely with the trade lane team to collect and provide feedback on Brazilian market rates, carrier capacity, and competitor activities, supporting headquarters in developing market strategies for Latin America.
5. Coordinate with the sales, customer service, and operations teams at headquarters in China to ensure smooth order fulfillment throughout the entire process. Handle daily customer inquiries, resolve operational issues, and follow up on customer complaints.
Job Requirements
1. Associate degree or above. Majors in International Trade, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related fields are preferred.
2. At least one year of sales experience in the international ocean freight or freight-forwarding industry. Familiarity with Brazil’s import and export logistics market and customer development practices is preferred.
3. Must be a Brazilian national or a Chinese national holding valid legal residence and work authorization in Brazil, with the ability to work without restrictions in South America.
4. Fluent in Portuguese and able to use it as the primary working language for business negotiations and customer communication. Daily communication skills in either Chinese or English are also required.
5. Familiar with basic ocean import and export procedures and common international trade terms, including FOB and CIF. Able to prepare quotations and logistics solutions independently.
6. Results-oriented, self-motivated, and equipped with strong customer service awareness and the ability to work under pressure.
