Child Care Director (School Age Child Care)

Multi-Site School Age Centre Director

This position will be part of a Child Care Director team and responsible for oversight of multi-site child care programs, each with on-site supervisor leadership. Position is supported by a Child Care Manager team.

Are you the right fit?

• Able to manage multiple school age programs 
• Experience recruiting, training and mentoring supervisors and educators
• Demonstrated ability to support the implementation of emergent curriculum
• Experience developing and managing budgets
• Able to apply ELCC and the Y’s policies, procedures, regulations and standards
• Able to develop and maintain partnerships with school divisions and administration
• Proven ability to build rapport with children and their families

 What else do you need?

• 3-5 years in a childcare setting with supervisory and/or management experience
• Manitoba Early Childhood Educator Level 3
• Knowledge of child care regulations, best practices and school age child development
• Understanding of emergent curriculum and staff leadership development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a variety of shifts and various locations
• Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
• Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
• Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
