YMCA at North Rutherford is Now Hiring for Wellness Coach

Position Type: Part-time

Pay Range starts at $14.00 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Shifts: Days and Hours Vary by location

The Donelson-Hermitage YMCA is seeking candidates for their open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.**

Are you passionate about fitness and helping others achieve their health goals? We’re on the lookout for an energetic and knowledgeable Wellness Coach to join our team! This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on our members’ well-being.

What you’ll do:

• Guide members through fitness evaluations and design personalized exercise programs.
• Provide instruction on strength and cardio equipment, ensuring members feel confident and safe.
• Build relationships with members, helping them set and achieve their fitness goals.
• Maintain a clean and efficient Wellness Center and assist with equipment upkeep.
• Lead wellness education classes and stay current on certifications.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum Age: 18
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); Exercise Science degree (preferred).
• Experience: Background in fitness testing, exercise programming, or related college coursework (preferred).
• Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid (within 30 days - we pay for these); additional wellness certifications within 90 days.
