The Donelson-Hermitage YMCA is Now Hiring for a Learn to Swim Instructor, Middays

Position Type: Part-time

Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Shifts: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-1pm

As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you'll create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment while teaching life-changing water safety and swim skills. What You’ll Do:

• Teach swim lessons with energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement
• Ensure the safety and success of all class participants
• Provide feedback to swimmers and communicate progress with parents
• Create engaging lesson plans and help participants build confidence in the water
• Support a welcoming, positive YMCA experience for every swimmer and family

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum Age: 16
• Passion for helping others learn and grow
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Intermediate swimming ability
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred
