Commercial Contracts ManagerJob Description:
Protect the Business. Help Build Great Projects.
Every construction project starts long before crews arrive on site.
It starts with an agreement.
Before work begins, someone has already reviewed the contract, identified the risks, negotiated better terms, and helped everyone move forward with confidence.
At YESCO, that's the role of our Commercial Contracts Manager.
Working alongside Executive Leadership, Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Legal Counsel, you'll help shape the agreements behind some of our most important projects. You'll negotiate contracts, solve business problems, reduce risk, and give our teams the confidence to move forward.
This isn't a back-office contract administration role. It's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor whose work influences business decisions from the very beginning of every project.
If you enjoy negotiating, solving problems, and helping people reach practical agreements, we'd enjoy meeting you.

What You'll Do
You'll be the person people turn to when a contract needs another set of experienced eyes.
You'll work closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Operations, Project Managers, and Legal Counsel to help ensure contracts support the business while protecting the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
Review and negotiate commercial construction contracts, including AIA, AGC, customer, supplier, vendor, and subcontractor agreements.
Using your own talents combined with the power of artificial intelligence, identify contract terms that create unnecessary business, financial, insurance, or operational risk and recommend practical alternatives.
Draft contract revisions, amendments, and supporting documents that reflect YESCO's business goals.
Break down technical contract language into plain English so business leaders can make confident decisions.
Work directly with outside Legal Counsel on negotiations and contract questions while serving as the primary connection between Legal and Operations.
Confirm that insurance certificates, licensing requirements, and supporting documents are complete before agreements are finalized.
Keep contract files complete, accurate, and easy to locate.
Become a trusted resource for contract interpretation across all YESCO offices.
Support other projects and responsibilities as business needs evolve.
What You'll Bring to the Team
You're someone who enjoys solving problems before they become bigger problems.
You know how to negotiate without damaging relationships. You can speak with attorneys, executives, project managers, customers, and subcontractors with equal confidence. Most importantly, you understand that contracts are business tools—not just legal documents.
Preferred Qualifications
Ten or more years of experience managing commercial construction contracts, procurement, project management, contract administration, or similar professional work.
Strong working knowledge of AIA, AGC, subcontractor, supplier, customer, and vendor agreements.
Experience with construction contracts, indemnification, insurance requirements, payment terms, warranties, change orders, and risk allocation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, NetSuite, contract redlining tools, and modern AI productivity software.
