Asset Management Analyst, FP&A

Denver, CO  |  Finance Team  |  Full-Time

About YES Communities

Founded in 2008, YES Communities owns and operates manufactured housing communities across 23 states. We take a different approach to this asset class, building and maintaining communities that reflect a genuinely positive YES attitude. Our Denver Home Office team is diverse and full-service, and we operate with a shared commitment to integrity, collaboration, and innovation.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a driven, analytical Asset Management Analyst to join our Finance team, reporting to the VP of Asset Management. Our Asset Management team serves as an analytical backbone for the organization, combining real estate operating knowledge, transaction expertise, and financial rigor to sharpen decisions and processes across the company, from field execution to home office strategy and investor communications. Manufactured housing is a distinctive, often-overlooked asset class, and this role offers hands-on exposure to how a growing multi-state portfolio is actually run and grown, not just modeled from the sidelines. You'll build the models, benchmarks, and market intelligence that inform decisions ranging from day-to-day portfolio management to new acquisitions, partnering with senior team members on higher-stakes work like investor communications and acquisition recommendations as you build depth in the role. It's a high-visibility seat with a clear path toward greater ownership over time.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain financial models and decision frameworks used across the organization, from field execution to home office strategy, to evaluate both everyday portfolio decisions and new investment opportunities.
  • Partner with operations to build and refine expense management processes, providing clear, data-backed guidance on where and how to manage costs.
  • Analyze rent-setting strategy, pulling market comps and modeling NOI impact, and partner with field teams to translate that analysis into execution: accurate, on-schedule rent adjustments.
  • Evaluate new markets and acquisition targets, including market fundamentals, competitive supply, and regulatory risk, translating findings into investment memos and underwriting recommendations that inform go/no-go decisions for leadership and investors.
  • Track market and competitor benchmarks, including publicly traded REITs, keeping the organization's data and assumptions accurate and current for decisions at every level.
  • Prepare high-visibility presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor communications.
  • Support due diligence and capital allocation decisions for new initiatives and investments.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and take on other responsibilities as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
  • Core Competencies: Solid understanding of financial statements and how business decisions flow through the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Research & Writing: Strong analytical writing skills, able to produce clear, structured investment memos and market write-ups, not just slide decks. Comfort working with incomplete or conflicting data, and skill in flagging genuine gaps rather than papering over them with assumptions.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence to translate financial concepts for non-finance audiences.
  • Work Style: Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across markets and portfolio initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Real Estate Background: Prior experience in real estate, especially multifamily or manufactured housing.
  • Valuation: Experience with IRR, NPV, and other valuation metrics.
  • Data Skills: SQL or Python experience.
  • Systems: Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, Tableau, or Power BI.

Team & Growth

This role reports to the VP of Asset Management within a Finance team of roughly 10. It's a strong platform for growth toward a Senior Analyst or Associate-level seat as you build depth in real estate finance and asset management.

Compensation

[85,000-$95,000 + 10% annual bonus potential]

Company at a glance

YES Communities, founded in 2008, owns and operates manufactured housing communities in many states. YES takes a new approach to manufactured home communities and works to build and maintain an environment in each community that reflects their positive YES attitude. YES’s unique operating model, personal approach and strong corporate culture has garnered it the Community Operator of the Year award by the Manufactured Housing Institute for the past ten years.

At YES! Communities we look at Manufactured Housing Communities in a whole new way! Too many times in the past manufactured home communities had the reputation of saying NO! to home loans, leasing agreements and requests due to their stringent guidelines and rules. We want our residents to be part of a different type of community, where they are truly hearing YES! to creating a community that is all their own.

YES! Communities provides customers with affordable housing options, a community that is well-maintained, clean, and attractive, as well as an atmosphere that builds a true community around its residents.

YES! Communities offers homes for any size of family or budget. We have high-quality factory-built homes ranging from single to multi-section, fitting every stage of life.
