Position: Manufacturing Planner
Location: Irvine, CA
Work Arrangement: On-site
Position Summary:
The Production and Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, components, and finished products through the production process. This role develops and executes production schedules, manages material requirements, and partners closely with cross‑functional teams to support on‑time delivery, inventory targets, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and skilled at balancing supply, demand, and capacity constraints.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and manage material requirements plans (MRP) to ensure optimal material availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and capacity availability.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and subcontracted parts.
- Monitor production progress, identify risks or delays (material shortage), and proactively adjust schedules to meet customer and business needs.
- Analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to support continuous production flow.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to resolve bottlenecks, shortages, and production issues.
- Track, report, and drive improvements on key planning metrics such as schedule adherence, on time delivery, and inventory turns.
- Maintain accurate system data including bills of material (BOM), routings, lead times, and planning parameters.
- Support new product introductions by planning materials, coordinating builds, and aligning resources.
- Participate in S&OP / demand planning processes by providing capacity and production insights.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, material planning, or similar supply chain role.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and planning concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or similar certification is a plus.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.

Salary: $70,000 - $81,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
