We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to help design, develop, improve and documentation of mechanical system on high-precision CNC lathe machines. In this role, you will work on customer-driven design changes, test and refine your own designs, and make sure improvements meet customer requirements. You will also be responsible for delivering design projects on time to support production schedules.
As part of the engineering team, you’ll collaborate with other engineers, sales staff, and departments such as production, quality, and procurement. Your goal will be to create reliable, cost-effective CNC solutions that satisfy customers and support future sales through innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Description:

  • Conceptualize and design precision mechanical components and assemblies for CNC tool holders from initial concept to final detailed drawings, using SolidWorks.
  • Lead full-cycle product development projects including ideation, prototyping, testing, iteration, and transition to mass production.
  • Support new machine model development, modification design via engineering changes, design upgrades and evaluation.
  • Learn and apply internal design standards and engineering best practices. Perform self-checks on designs, evaluate fabricated and assembled prototypes, and ensure timely submission of final designs to support production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
  • Address and resolve complex mechanical engineering challenges, ensuring all designs meet required performance, safety, regulatory, and quality specifications.
  • Work closely with Production, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
  • Provide ongoing support after product launch by addressing customer feedback, handling claims or technical inquiries and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in mechanical design, preferably in CNC machine industry.
  • Strong knowledge in technical drawing, materials, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
  • CNC machine programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software specifically SolidWorks 2024. CATIA knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, FMEA, DFMA, and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, fabrication, testing, and assembly.
  • Experience leading product development from concept to mass production.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical reports, bills of materials, and design records.
