Role Summary:
To perform electrical assembly, electrical adjustment, and functional verification of industrial equipment, ensuring all electrical systems are correctly installed, configured, tested, and documented in accordance with approved work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Assembly & Installation
Assemble and install electrical components and systems, including:
Control cabinets and panels
Power supplies, circuit breakers, and transformers
Motors, sensors, switches, and safety devices
Cables, connectors, terminals, and grounding points
Ensure correct wiring, terminal crimping, labeling, and secure mounting of all electrical parts.
2. Pre‑Power Electrical Checks
Perform electrical preparation checks before power‑on, such as:
Verification of electrical components and connections
Confirmation of protection devices and safety circuits
Electrical continuity and grounding checks
Ensure all required conditions are met before energizing the system.
3. Electrical Adjustment & Configuration
Carry out electrical setting and adjustment tasks as specified in work instructions, including:
Electrical protection and thermal setting adjustments
Configuration of control devices and input/output systems
Setting of air, hydraulic, lubrication, and cooling‑related electrical controls where applicable
Apply required markings after completing adjustments.
4. Power‑On & Functional Verification
Support initial power‑on activities and verify:
Correct voltage levels and phase sequence
Normal startup behavior of electrical systems
Absence of abnormal alarms or faults
Check correct rotation direction and operation of motors, fans, pumps, and auxiliary devices.
5. Functional & Safety Interlock Checks
Perform functional checks of:
Emergency stop circuits
Door and safety interlocks
Foot switches, control switches, and indicator lamps
Confirm safety systems respond correctly under normal and fault conditions.
6. System Operation & Signal Confirmation
Verify correct response of electrical systems during operation, including:
Axis or motor movement signals
Sensor feedback and status indications
Alarm and warning indications
Support basic operational testing to confirm electrical readiness.
7. Quality Records & Documentation
Accurately complete electrical quality and inspection records for assigned work.
Record settings, results, and pass/fail judgment clearly and completely.
Ensure proper handover of records according to standard workflow requirements.
8. Troubleshooting & Escalation
Identify and report electrical issues such as:
Incorrect wiring or loose connections
Abnormal alarms or signal loss
Incorrect rotation, feedback errors, or sensor faults
Support corrective actions and re‑checks before proceeding to the next stage.
9. Safety, Housekeeping & Standard Work
Follow electrical safety procedures at all times, including lock‑out and verification steps as required.
Maintain good housekeeping in panels, cabinets, and work areas.
Adhere strictly to approved electrical work instructions and standard work practices.
Requirements:
Hands on experience in electrical assembly or electrical installation
Ability to:
Read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings
Perform electrical checks and adjustments
Use basic electrical measuring instruments (e.g. multimeter)
Understanding of electrical safety principles, grounding, and protection devices
Qualifications and Experience
NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field,
or equivalent practical electrical assembly experience
Experience in precision or industrial equipment assembly is an advantage
