Accounting Specialist – QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online Migration

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist with strong experience in migrating accounting data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). The ideal candidate will possess solid end-to-end accounting knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients throughout the migration process. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, data accuracy, and strong coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute data migration from QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) to QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  

• Review, clean, and validate accounting data before migration to ensure accuracy and completeness
  

• Map chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, and historical transactions from QBD to QBO
  

• Perform post-migration validation, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  

• Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including:
  

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
    

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    

  • General Ledger (GL)
    

  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
    

• Ensure accurate opening balances and historical financial data in QBO
  

• Prepare and review financial statements post-migration
  

• Work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and explain migration steps.
  

• Provide user support, documentation, and basic training on QBO best practices
  

• Identify process improvements and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls
