Job Title: Senior SRv6 Network Engineer

Role Summary: Seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, BGP, ISIS, EVPN, and Service Provider Networks to support Optus network transformation and modernization initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience:

•           8+ years of experience in IP/MPLS Service Provider networks

•           Strong hands-on experience with:

o          SRv6 (Segment Routing IPv6)

o          MPLS & Segment Routing

o          BGP, ISIS, OSPF

o          EVPN/VXLAN

o          IPv4 & IPv6

o          Traffic Engineering and QoS

Experience on:

o          Nokia 7750 SR / SR OS

o          Cisco ASR9K / NCS / IOS-XR

o          Juniper (preferred)

•           Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, YANG, NETCONF/RESTCONF

•           Experience in carrier-grade backbone networks, network transformation, and migration programs

•           Ability to provide L3 support and drive RCA for critical incidents

Preferred Certifications:

•           CCNP/CCIE Service Provider

•           Nokia NRS-I / NRS-II

•           JNCIP-SP / JNCIE-SP

•           ITIL Foundation

Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute

  1. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade IP/MPLS and SRv6 network solutions, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high-performance service provider infrastructure aligned with network transformation initiatives.
  2. Provide advanced operational support by troubleshooting complex network issues, driving root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, and ensuring network stability across technologies including BGP, ISIS, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4, and IPv6.
  3. Develop and enhance network automation capabilities using Python, Ansible, YANG, and NETCONF/RESTCONF, while supporting migration activities, configuration management, and continuous improvement of network operations.
