Process Engineer

Job Summary:
The Process Engineer supports the development, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes across production and supply chain operations. This role applies engineering expertise to drive continuous improvement, enhance product quality, and increase operational efficiency.Core Duties
- Technical resource for on-going production activities: establishing & improving production quality specifications, production support, documentation & analysis of production KPIs
- Responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure the Internal and External stakeholders are properly meeting these guidelines
- Leads quality improvement, yield improvement & corrective action projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Recommends manufacturing processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability
- Assesses current equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes. Helps to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Shows results in reports. May train personnel in equipment usage and processes
- Collaborate with research and development teams as technologies transition to pilot & scale-up environments to ensure a successful commercialization
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering or related field
- 2 years' experience in process engineering, production operations, and/or quality control environments
- Analytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions, and finding answers that work.
- Familiarity with statistics & hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies; for example: Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, DMAIC, Lean, etc.
- Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production process. Desire to lead projects with cross-functional stakeholders
- Process-orientation with an attention to detail
- Ability to travel 25-50%
Desired Qualifications
- Polymer films or coatings experience preferred
