Job Summary:

The People Partner role focuses on all aspects of the function for an assigned organization(s) or geography.

Core Duties

  • Coordinating new hire paperwork, equipment ordering and new hire orientations
  • Responding to unemployment and employment verifications
  • Support special projects such as employee reviews, handbook sign offs, employee surveys, trainings, legal posters etc.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws at the macro and micro level (country/state/local, country/provincial/local, etc).
  • Be first point of contact for employees and answer questions via People and Culture inbox or ticketing system.
  • Data entry and people transactions in Workday and adjacent systems.
  • Oversee Benefit Administration as applicable.
  • Respond to employees and manager on policies and benefits questions.
  • Assist in executing Workforce and Organizational Planning
  • Lead or assist in recruiting efforts as appropriate for the organization(s) or geography.
  • Handle Moderately complex Employee Relations issues and refers more complex issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Exercise excellent judgment and make recommendations that balance the needs of employees as well as the company.
  • Manage multiple competing and important priorities quickly and effectively communicate back to other stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Apply excellent interpersonal skills both in one-on-one situations with all levels of personnel, and in facilitating group meetings and keeping them on track.
  • Use seasoned judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business/technological constraints.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of HR experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well with others both in person and across other offices through remote communications.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and integrate with geographically dispersed leaders and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak French
  • This is an in-office (Laval) role 5 days per week.
