DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain the CI/CD ecosystem supporting React Native mobile applications and .NET backend services. This role is responsible for enabling reliable software delivery through infrastructure automation, cloud-native deployments, release management, observability, and DevSecOps best practices.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience building GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automating mobile releases, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring secure, scalable deployments across modern engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Architect and maintain multi-stage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for mobile compilation, automated testing, and backend deployments.
  • Mobile Release Automation: Automate mobile build, signing, and distribution processes for iOS (App Store / TestFlight) and Android (Google Play Store / Firebase App Distribution) using Fastlane.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation to host .NET services and databases.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement logging, metrics, and distributed tracing (APM, Application Insights, Datadog, or Grafana) for .NET GraphQL APIs and mobile health monitoring.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce DevSecOps practices, managing secrets, vulnerability scanning, and code analysis within GitLab pipelines.

Core Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years in a DevOps or Reliability Engineering role supporting mobile and cloud API environments.
  • GitLab Mastery: Expert knowledge of GitLab CI/CD (.gitlab-ci.yml configurations, runners, multi-arch builds, security scanning).
  • Mobile Build Systems: Experience configuring build tools for React Native applications (Xcode, Gradle, Fastlane, code-signing certificates, provision profiles).
  • Backend & Cloud Deployment: Experience containerizing .NET applications (Docker, Kubernetes / Azure Container Apps / AWS ECS).
  • Scripting & IaC: Proficiency with Bash, PowerShell, or Python, alongside Terraform or Azure ARM/Bicep.

Working Style

  • A strong automation-first mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ownership and accountability for platform reliability and delivery.
  • Strong collaboration across engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.
  • A passion for modern DevOps practices and continuous learning.
