As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and a Data & Analytics team focused on platform integration work in the Payments Vertical

You will own requirements engineering across the full delivery lifecycle — from eliciting and documenting payment domain requirements to validating that implemented solutions meet business expectations. The ideal candidate brings deep Payments or BFSI domain expertise, can hit the ground running on an active workstream, and thrives at the intersection of business analysis and quality assurance.

What You’ll Do

Requirements Engineering & Analysis

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment processing systems.
  • Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping documents.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current capabilities and business needs, proposing actionable solutions.
  • Translate complex payment domain requirements (process flow, settlement) into clear technical specifications.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging payment technologies.

Quality Assurance & Validation

  • Design and execute manual test cases for payment workflows, transaction scenarios, and edge cases.
  • Validate that implemented features meet acceptance criteria and business expectations.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, regression suites, and UAT plans.
  • Document and triage defects, working with development teams to resolve issues before release.

What You Bring

Core Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in payment processing or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, transaction flows, and related processes.
  • Experience supporting Data & Analytics teams or data integration initiatives, with a solid understanding of Data Governance.
  • Proficiency in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows (Visio, Lucidchart), and wireframes.
  • Hands-on experience with manual QA including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Working Style

  • Analytical mindset – breaks down complex payment workflows into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Strong communicator – bridges the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Detail Oriented – ensures completeness and accuracy in specifications and test scenarios.
  • Proactive – identifies gaps, risks, and dependencies before they become blockers.
  • Collaborative – works effectively across cross-functional teams including product, engineering, QA, and compliance.
  • Customer focused – keeps end-user impact and business value at the center of every decision.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) for validating payment integrations.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (SQL, Excel advanced functions, Power BI).
  • CBAP, CCBA, or IIBA certification.
