Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Natural Gas Construction Specialist to join our team as part of a two-man crew. This role will primarily focus on installing service lines to residential homes within new subdivisions and will also involve performing repairs on existing lines.

QualificationsKey Responsibilities

Install Service Lines: Work closely with another crew member to install new natural gas service lines to residential properties within new subdivisions, ensuring accurate placement and connection to the gas mainline.

Repair Leaks: Perform repairs on existing underground gas lines, ensuring all work is completed according to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Plastic Pipe Installation: Utilize plastic pipe installation techniques to ensure correct and efficient installation of gas service lines, including proper handling, joining, and securing of pipes.

Excavation & Trenching: Operate a mini excavator and assist with digging trenches for service line installations, ensuring proper trench safety and backfilling practices.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, adherence to OSHA standards, and industry safety guidelines.

Quality Control: Ensure all installations and repairs are completed per company standards, local regulations, and best practices.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate construction equipment, such as mini excavators, trenchers, and other machinery necessary for pipe installation and maintenance.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of all completed work, including daily logs, materials used, and any issues encountered on the job site.

Team Collaboration: Work as part of a two-man crew to complete tasks efficiently and safely, coordinating with other crew members, supervisors, and contractors as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid driver's license.

Strong commitment to safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of construction, excavation, and plastic pipe installation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in natural gas utility construction or underground utility work.

Physical Requirements

Outdoor fieldwork required in various weather conditions.

Must be able to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, and operating construction equipment.

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. as required by job duties.
