The Role
The Role
We are seeking a Fine Art & Specie Underwriter to join our Singapore team. This role is responsible for underwriting and managing both retail and facultative Fine Art & Specie business across Asia, while developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, cedants, and distribution partners.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will manage a portfolio of renewal and new business opportunities, deliver high-quality underwriting outcomes, and contribute to the continued growth and profitability of the portfolio.
What You'll Be Doing
Underwrite new and renewal Fine Art & Specie business across Asia.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, cedants and reinsurance partners.
Achieve portfolio profitability, retention and growth objectives.
Deliver responsive service and collaborate with key internal stakeholders.
Support business development, marketing initiatives and industry engagement.
Contribute to portfolio analysis, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience
About You
You are an experienced insurance professional with strong underwriting and relationship management capability. You have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of business, building broker and distribution relationships, and making sound commercial decisions that support profitable growth.
You enjoy working collaboratively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, while maintaining a strong focus on service, results, and portfolio performance. You are commercially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Essential
3-5 years of relevant Insurance underwriting and/or broking experience
Experience managing a portfolio of business
Demonstrated success in business development and relationship management
Strong commercial and underwriting judgement
Established relationships within insurance distribution networks
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
Experience underwriting Fine Art & Specie business
Knowledge of insurance markets across Asia
