Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Mobilization and Project Implementation

  • Facilitate implementation of project activities in assigned communities across WASH, Health, Nutrition, Protection, Food Assistance, MPCA, NFI, DRR, and Anticipatory Action sectors.
  • Organize community meetings, awareness sessions, trainings, and community events.
  • Support beneficiary targeting, registration, and verification processes.

Community Engagement and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain relationships with community leaders, local authorities, community groups, and local partners.
  • Promote community participation and ownership of project activities.
  • Facilitate community feedback and accountability mechanisms.

Monitoring, Data Collection, and Reporting

  • Collect activity, beneficiary, and monitoring data.
  • Support surveys, assessments, registrations, and monitoring visits.
  • Prepare activity reports and maintain project records.

Support Training and Capacity Building

  • Organize and support training activities for communities, volunteers, committees, and local stakeholders.
  • Assist technical specialists in delivering technical sessions and awareness campaigns.

Operational and Logistics Support

  • Support distributions, field events, procurement requests, transportation arrangements, warehousing, and inventory activities as needed.
  • Assist with asset and commodity tracking.

Safeguarding, Accountability, Risk, and Compliance

  • Promote safeguarding, PSEA, AAP, and protection principles.
  • Report risks, incidents, complaints, and concerns through established mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with World Vision and donor requirements.
  • Support emergency response, assessments, surge activities, and other project tasks as required by the Project Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Disaster Management, International Development, Education, Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Training in humanitarian programming, safeguarding, community engagement, DRR, MEAL, or project management is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in humanitarian, resilience, disaster risk reduction, recovery, or community development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project implementation at community level.
  • Experience working with communities, local authorities, community-based organizations, or local NGO partners.
  • Experience in beneficiary targeting, registration, community mobilization, training, monitoring, or distribution activities.
  • Experience working in conflict-affected, fragile, remote, or emergency contexts is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more sectors such as WASH, Health, Nutrition, Protection, Food Assistance, Cash Assistance, Livelihoods, or DRR is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Myanmar language is required.
  • Basic English communication and basic report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant local ethnic languages in the project area is an advantage.
  • Based in the assigned township/project location.
  • Up to 70% field travel within project communities and implementation areas.
  • Ability to work in remote, hard-to-reach, and challenging environments.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice in response to project and emergency needs.
  • Good physical health and ability to travel regularly to project locations and communities.
  • Ability to ride and travel by motorcycle on rough terrain and in challenging field conditions is required.
