The Learning & Development Coordinator will enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees within World Vision Papua New Guinea through the development and execution of learning and development strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
The role is responsible for developing the National Office Talent Programs in accordance with Regional Guidelines, compiling and executing the Annual Capacity Building Plan for WV PNG in collaboration with SMT and Department Heads, ensuring Learning & Reflection plans are in place for Area Programs and the National Office, and conducting workshops and trainings on P&C, organisational development and change management.
The position will manage the Talent Pool — tracking candidate progress, developing Individual Development Plans with managers, and managing SAP Academy nominations — while working with the Regional Learning and Development Advisor on regional L&D initiatives. The role will also drive staff engagement and wellbeing, including the Our Voice Survey roll-out, quarterly action-point updates for SLT, and staff care initiatives in coordination with the Regional Staff Care and Calibra teams.
The Learning & Development Coordinator will ensure an effective staff orientation program is in place for all new staff, and will support the full performance management (PFP) cycle — timely submission of agreements and end-of-year reviews, refresher trainings for staff and managers, and the calibration process to ensure final ratings are updated in Workday.
The role will act as the focal point for P&C Learning & Development needs in the National Office, engaging with SMT, managers and staff across the National Office and Area Programs, participating in partnership and regional forums, and engaging external training providers and partner organisations for cross-learning, while providing direct supervision to staff.
Educational Qualification/Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of at least 3 years' experience in all areas of P&C management and staff development.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- P&C Professional certification.
- Direct experience in facilitating organisational change and P&C interventions.
- At least two years' P&C work experience in a country office.
- Direct experience in working with multicultural teams.
- Proven ability to develop people in a cross-cultural setting.
- Training and development experience.
- A thorough understanding of all areas of Human Resource Management and the integration of each function.
- Knowledge of WVI Partnership P&C minimum standards and practices.
- Strong strategic thinking, organisational, facilitation, consultancy, change management and leadership skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Certified Trainer will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated collaboration and team building skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to travel at least 25% per month.
