Key Responsibilities:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving and Safety
Drive assigned vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with traffic laws and WV policies.
Attend assigned transportation duties in a timely manner.
Inform passengers of safety requirements including seat belt use and safe travel practices.
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks before and after trips.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, vehicle defects, or security concerns.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Ensure preventive maintenance and servicing schedules are followed.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
Fleet Records and System Management
Ensure vehicle trip details are accurately recorded through the approved web-based fleet management application.
Maintain overtime records in line with organizational procedures.
Monitor fuel consumption and support preparation of fleet utilization reports.
Safety, Security and Compliance
Ensure compliance with WV security policies, local traffic regulations, and transport procedures.
Remain alert to security risks and changing road conditions during travel.
Support implementation of road safety and emergency response procedures.
Keep all vehicle documents, insurance, permits, fitness certificates, and registrations valid and updated before expiry.
Ensure all passengers comply with vehicle safety requirements.
Office Administration and Logistics Support
Provide general office administrative support as assigned.
Assist with document delivery, filing, procurement-related errands, banking activities, and courier services.
Support office logistics, workshops, meetings, visitor arrangements, and inventory management activities.
Assist in emergency operational and administrative tasks when required.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience:
At least 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with an NGO/INGO or similar organization.
Good knowledge of traffic rules, regulations, and road safety practices.
Well informed about safety, security, defensive driving, and basic first-aid measures.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, daily vehicle checks, and troubleshooting of minor vehicle issues.
Experience driving in difficult roads and rural/remote conditions is an advantage.
Good communication skills, punctuality, reliability, and a professional and respectful attitude.
Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
Completion of studies until Grade 10.
4 (Car & Jeep) and 2 (Motorbike and Scooter) wheeler valid driving license

Travel and/or Work Environment
Requires frequent travel to field locations (approximately 60-70% of working time), including travel on varied road conditions and remote areas as required.
Other Requirements
Must be physically fit and capable of undertaking regular travel and transportation duties. A valid medical fitness report is required.
Basic spoken English communication skills are preferred, with the required ability to communicate effectively with staff, visitors, and service providers in Nepali.
