ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position consists of ensuring that Refugee Cash Assistance is administered to eligible clients in a timely and accurate manner. This position will work with various members of the WRTX team to support their direct work with refugees and other immigrants.
The CMA Program provides cash assistance to newly arrived refugee, asylees, and other qualified immigrants in the United States and ensures that Refugee Medical Assistance is administered to eligible clients in a timely and accurate manner. The Case Specialist is responsible for providing and managing these services to assist clients in attaining self-sufficiency.
Hybrid Schedule: Monday-Friday; 3 days in the office, 2 work from home days.
- Receive CMA program referrals and schedule program enrollments both in office and at client’s residences
- Secure and schedule interpreters for program enrollments
- Complete CMA program enrollments with new clients explaining all program services, rules, rights, and responsibilities
- Provide brief client orientation on assistance payments and procedures.
- Enter client data into the TXOR client track system and internal tracking systems
- Request debit card assignments
- Manage and maintain case load of multiple clients
- Ensure monthly compliance of program participants with program rules
- Assess client needs and refer clients to other programs and services, as needed.
- Complete regular follow-up on referrals
- Verify continued eligibility for program through monthly income verifications, employment compliance, SSI and TANF determinations, and EOIR checks.
- Request monthly cash assistance payments
- Provide orientation and assistance to clients on the debit card payment system
- Stay current on ORR eligibility policies
- Stay current on TXOR requirements and policies
- Maintain monthly contact with clients
- Comply with internal client data tracking procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate case notes
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of detailed case files and required forms.
- Ensure case files and reports are maintained in accordance with grant requirements
- Serve as primary point of contact regarding any past and current enrolled clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact between WRTX and USCRI
- Complete RMA applications for eligible clients using the eRED system
- Respond to USCRI requests for corrections in eRED system, as needed
- Notify clients of approvals, denials, termination
- Other duties in support of programs may be assigned
- Mature and personal Christian faith

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Cross-cultural experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage stressful or crises.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- . Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
- Up to 25% of domestic travel required.
- Cross-cultural experience is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in an additional language such as Spanish, French, Arabic, Swahili, Lingala, Farsi, Dari, and Pashto is preferred.
- At least one-year experience in an office environment.
