Create a Warm Welcome

Ya Hala and World Foods are looking for a friendly, helpful Guest Experience Specialist to make every visit feel welcoming, comfortable, and easy to navigate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, learning about food and ingredients, and creating positive customer experiences in a busy grocery environment.

What You’ll Do

Welcome guests at entrances and throughout the store.

Help guests find products, departments, services, and the right team member.

Learn the store layout and current product information.

Help guests explore unfamiliar ingredients and share approved product information.

Provide carts and baskets, assist with carryout when requested, and keep guest-service areas organized.

Support checkout lines, product demonstrations, store events, busy departments, and other customer-service needs.

Listen to questions and concerns, resolve routine issues within your authority, and involve a manager when needed.

Report spills, damaged carts, blocked aisles, maintenance concerns, and other store conditions.

Use the store’s approved local-resource guide and involve a manager when a guest may need emergency, medical, crisis-response, outreach, or social-service support.

Communicate respectfully with every guest and help create a welcoming experience for people from all backgrounds.

Use email, mobile devices, and store communication tools as needed.

Previous grocery, retail, hospitality, restaurant, customer-service, or food experience is helpful but not required.

Important Role Boundaries

This is a guest-service position. The Guest Experience Specialist does not monitor surveillance, investigate theft, control access, pursue or detain people, confiscate property, or physically intervene. Questions involving safety, emergencies, or situations outside the role should be promptly referred to a manager.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to

Stand and walk for extended periods.

Move safely through store aisles, entrances, and customer areas.

Sustain concentration and friendly customer service in a busy environment.

Use phones and store communication tools.

Pick up, carry, hold, and deliver items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Perform light store-support and customer-assistance tasks.
