About the Team
A Technical Reporting Consultant is a member of Workday’s Global Professional Services organization dedicated to the implementation of our cloud-based software within the State and Local Government industry. We help customers make the most of the Workday platform!The State & Local Government Technical Consulting team is responsible for the Data Conversion, Integration, and Reporting workstreams on Workday implementation projects. About the Role
The Technical Consultant works closely with the client’s project team to design, develop, and deploy a customer’s relevant reporting and analytic solutions. They have knowledge of core design principles, common data modeling and patterns, project implementation methodology, and a successful track record of delivering. The Technical Consultant will:
Lead and project manage reporting workstream(s), hitting delivery dates and driving results
Conduct discovery sessions to develop and document a thorough understanding of customers’ reporting needs
Design and implement reports to address complex customer requirements
Assist customer in testing reporting solutions and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure post-production success
Participate in internal initiatives and process improvement
About You

Basic Qualifications: Principal Technical Consultant (P5)
6+ years of experience with Workday Reporting and Prism
8+ years of experience with integration development or report building
8+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
8+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain experience
Basic Qualifications: Sr Technical Consultant (P4)
4+ years of experience with Workday Reporting and Prism
6+ years of experience with integration development or report building
6+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
6+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, or Financials domain experience
Other Qualifications (Preferred)
Experience working within or with the State and Local Government industry
Advanced understanding of payroll reporting
Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation
Advanced skills to design, develop, and deploy analytic and reporting solutions for customers
Advanced understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including report requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and move to production
Active Workday Implementer Certification or Workday PRO Certification
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must, including active listening and the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences
Proven learning agility, with the capacity to quickly adapt to new situations, learn from experiences, and apply knowledge to solve problems and drive innovation
Comprehensive product knowledge, including an in depth understanding of product features, benefits, applications, and market positioning
Deep technical savvy, including the ability to understand, apply, and troubleshoot technical information and systems to enhance efficiency and problem-solving
Ability to travel up to 25%

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
