Here’s the Gist: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the challenging role of Business Quality Technician This role can be filled at any of the Wolfspeed manufacturing locations, Durham, NC; Marcy, NY; Fayetteville, AR, or Belfast NI. This person will be responsible for preparing and organizing documentation to support our quality business processes. To be successful in this role, the person will collaborate with internal teams within Quality and Operations to track, maintain, and report on those processes within the Wolfspeed Quality Management System. 

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Work under the direction of quality engineers and with process stakeholders, such as Operations, Quality, Sales, and Project Management, to align and draft documentation related to Product Change Notifications (PCNs) that will be delivered to our customers. 

  • Track and provide timely updates on the status of all open PCNs to ensure customers are promptly informed, and responses are recorded accurately to enable implementation. 

  • Work with quality engineering to review, map, and organize Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) into internal standard operating procedures to ensure compliance across production lines. 

  • Support PPAP Compilation by collecting, analyzing, and collating quality data packages (including FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, and capability studies) for customer submission. 

  • Coordinate, review, and track execution of customer survey requests. 

  • Work together with the engineering team to assist with Product Compliance requests and submissions, both internally and externally, collecting and reviewing supplier data to determine compliance status and reporting to customers. 

 

 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • An Associate’s Degree in Quality, Business Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related technical field with 5+ years’ experience. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Pro. 

  • Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.  

  • Knowledge of quality systems, semiconductor materials, and semiconductor wafer fabrication preferred. 

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices and experience with IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO9001 strongly preferred. 

  • Basic understanding of quality core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC) is a strong plus. 

  • Excellent communication skills with a keen focus on attention to detail. 

  • Takes direction well and then can work autonomously on trained tasks. Self-motivated and takes ownership and accountability for deadlines. Escalates when help is needed. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remains flexible to support changing priorities.
