The Sewing Machine Operator I is responsible for operating sewing machines to perform basic garment sewing operations. This role ensures efficient and precise sewing of various fabric and textile materials, contributing to the production of high-quality products.
STRUCTURE
The Entry-Level Sewing Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager and collaborates with Quality Control Inspectors and Production Planners. They may receive guidance from more experienced operators.
RESPONSIBILITY
Operating sewing machines to perform basic garment sewing operations efficiently and accurately.
Conducting basic maintenance and troubleshooting of sewing machines to ensure optimal functionality.
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Assisting in training new sewing machine operators or apprentices as needed.
QualificationsREQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
Basic experience or training in sewing machine operation.
Familiarity with different fabric/textile materials is a plus.
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered.
