Visual Editor

NY-New York - Park Ave South · Hybrid$50k – $66k

About this role

The Role and What You’ll Do:

The Visual Editor provides creative and operational support across the agency, with a primary focus on talent photography, model portfolio development, and asset archiving. Based in our New York office, this role sits at the intersection of creative quality, systems thinking, and global coordination, and reports to the Visual Director and regional lead at IMG Models. Occasional travel and weekend work may be required, particularly during Fashion Months (February/March and September/October).

Digital Asset Management & Archiving

  • Oversee and manage IMG Models archiving globally, including setting standards and maintaining quality across all markets
  • Review all Creative Services uploads to Mediaslide — verifying image quality meets standards, assets are complete, and metadata and credits are correctly applied per guidelines
  • Maintain and organize assets on Mediaslide, resolving minor errors and ensuring consistency across the library
  • Collect assets for New York-based managers, including any direct requests, and cross-reference global collection to identify and request outstanding or important shoots (editorials, campaigns, red carpet appearances, videos) not covered by the wider CS team
  • Stay across upcoming fashion shows and major industry events to anticipate asset needs

Model Portfolio & Creative Support

  • Work with managers to keep model portfolios up to date with the latest work
  • Take casting shots of models (digis and test shoots); oversee test shoot schedules and maintain the studio space
  • Lightly retouch images as needed using Photoshop and Adobe systems
  • Create supplemental presentations and portfolio links for custom requests and special job pitches
  • Ensure model cards are up to date and printed
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of imaging guidelines for IMG Models

Creative & Team Collaboration

  • Provide photo direction and support to the Digital Content, Talent Marketing, and Creative teams for custom decks and presentations
  • Manage incoming special inquiries from models and managers
  • Support team training on archiving processes and tools, on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with onboarding new IMG signs, including helping establish their digital asset presence

Systems & Workflow Development

  • Lead discussions on advancing digital asset management systems, evaluating tools and platforms, and ensuring best-in-class archiving processes
  • Investigate and implement improved workflows within IMG systems — for example, exploring Lynx tick-box integration with the Ops team to streamline archiving triggers
  • Manage relevant platform subscriptions and contribute to broader workflow improvement discussions
  • Stay across important projects (show packs, reels, campaigns) to monitor asset needs, quality, and delegation across the team

You Have These:

  • Expert-level photography and videography skills, with the ability to maintain a consistent style aligned with IMG Models standards
  • Strong command of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with digital asset management platforms (Mediaslide, Bynder, or similar)
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Proactive communicator who can work effectively across global teams and at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
