Job Title and Brief Description:
The Network Administrator is responsible for providing technical support and assistance related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role responds to IT inquiries, delivers troubleshooting support across all North American locations, and collaborates with the MIS Manager to identify, develop, and implement effective solutions within established timeframes.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory (on-premises and cloud-based)
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and server virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with firewall configurations, routing, VPNs, and network security
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact professionally with employees and external vendors
Primary Tasks:
- Maintain, monitor, and support company networks and servers
- Assist in maintaining building and network security systems
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and components for new and existing employees, including cabling and cable management
- Install and support computer peripherals for end users
- Develop and maintain knowledge of network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches, and access points
- Support enterprise systems such as Epicor, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and other business applications
- Provide technical support to all physical locations and remote employees across North America
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Guide users through troubleshooting steps in a clear, professional manner
- Train employees on systems, software, and best practices related to their roles
- Monitor and maintain performance of computer systems and network infrastructure
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved
- Perform additional duties as assigned
