THE ROLE: Truck Driver / Shipper & Receiver
LOCATION: Goodyear, AZ
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt
OUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Truck Driver / Shipper and Receiver is primarily responsible for driving company vehicle and for local pick up and deliveries. Will also pack and prepare customer orders for shipping, loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements. Receives small material packages.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive company truck for local pick ups and deliveries.
- Pick orders from stock and prepare product for shipping to customers.
- Prepare shipping documents.
- Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct.
- Load and unload trucks using forklift and overhead crane.
- Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Experience with workplace tools such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical requirements include regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds when turning parts over.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
