This role in summary
The position is responsible for supporting and executing design and development of component/ module /subsystem in partnership with sub-system engineers by improving the Structural characteristics of Products/Projects through Ansys (Classic / Workbench) Simulations. Builds on organizational/process knowledge, understands business needs. Solves complex problems, trade-offs & prioritizes design decisions.
Your responsibilities will include
Can convert physical / field problem into Simulation problem (BC definition) independently
Perform the Structural simulations, analyze the results, prepare proper report with appropriate conclusions and suggestions to improve the product performance
Lead cross functional projects and coordinate with Internal and external stakeholders.
Document architectural trade offs and learnings.
Interpret lab reports to drive the Simulation design decisions.
Support in generating and recommending the developed engineering concepts and effectively communicate to different stakeholders during Project/ Design Reviews as part of the product development process.
Responsible for converting Consumer Requirements into Engineering Requirements.
Drive the usage of DFMEA, Tolerance stack up analysis and apply DFx (DFA, DFM, DFR, DFS, DFSS) methodologies during product design and development.
Drive / Support material selection based on functional requirements.
Support the for product/ subsystem specific test plans as per standards to get the design changes approved.
Utilize the PLM (Windchill) system for design release, documentation control and workflow.
Analyze SIR and BOM data to calculate the feasibility of design concepts and solutions.
Responsible for technical mentoring & coaching.
Minimum requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace Engineering.
EXPERIENCE: 6-10 years
Technical Expertise:
Expert in Ansys- Classic (APDL) , Structural Linear & nonlinear analysis, Harmonics analysis, Fatigue and Creep analysis
Hypermesh - 2D shell meshing and 3D solid meshing
Required Technical Experience:
Finite element modeling and analysis using ANSYS APDL. Candidates should have hands- on experience with various analysis types such as linear statics, nonlinear statics (contact, material and large deformation) , dynamics (normal modes and cyclic modal)
Should have very good knowledge in FEM theory and numerical methods
Should have experience in providing design suggestions based on FEA analysis
Experience in interpreting and understanding FEA results, post- processing and preparing comprehensive analysis reports
Expertise in 2D/ 3D FE modeling in Hypermesh for aero- engine/ turbo- machinery/ automotive/ heavy engineering components is preferred.

Knowledge Management :
Open in sharing knowledge and thoughts
Proactive knowledge documentation and sharing within and outside stakeholders
TECHNICAL
Knowledge of Ansys Software.
Knowledge of numerical techniques like Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Conditions (BC).
Basic understanding Structural Measurement Data
Proficiency in Simulation tools like Hypermesh, Ansys etc.
Results interpretation skills.
MANAGERIAL
1. Proficient in Soft skills
2. Should have experience in global interaction.
