About this role
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open new membership accounts. Make member directed modifications to accounts.
- Using consultative selling techniques, analyzes and provides solutions for members’ financial needs and makes sales referrals to specialized areas of the credit union based on perceived and unperceived needs.
- Process signature, vehicle, and credit card loan applications via online avenue or over the phone
- Address questions related to IRAs, Certificates and Trust Funds
- Keep up to date on all consumer lending products (including some equity) including experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting credit reports.
- Proactively makes outbound sales calls to inform members about a wide variety of financial services solutions that will meet their needs and deepen the member experience and relationship.
- Demonstrate progressive job knowledge with the ability to successfully mentor peers.
- Check the work of peers for accuracy and communicate any corrections needed in a positive and professional manner.
- Handle escalated calls and follow-ups as required.
- Achieve and maintain all required performance goals and quality measurements.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide resolution to member inquiries regarding account activity and balances, transfer funds between accounts, wire transfers, stop payments, order checks, process checks by phone and debit/ATM card processing.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
