About this role
Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Spray Painter will join our New Machines Team on a Full-Time basis at our Reid Rd site.
Department - New Mining Machines
The New Mining Machines Department at WesTrac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mining industry. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment to enhance operational productivity and safety.
Roster:
Monday to Friday - 2 weeks of days, 1 week of afternoon – 10.5 hours (Inclusive of 30min meal break)
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare surfaces of mining equipment and machinery for painting by cleaning, sanding and masking
- Ensure all paint work complies with safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas to ensure efficient and safe operations
Skills & Experience:
- Trade Qualified Spray Painter or relevant industry experience
- Experience painting large mining equipment
- Experience with salt preparation highly regarded
- A dedicated attitude to safety and quality
- Must have or willing to get before starting - High Risk Work Licence – DG and FL
- Abrasive Blasting experience
