About this role

Reporting to the CPU Sales & Distribution Manager, the Merchandise Coordinator will join our Parts Sales team full-time at our Guildford, WA location for a 6 month fixed term contract. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, driving CAT merchandise sales, managing inventory and stock control activities, coordinating order fulfilment, and maintaining a professional retail environment that supports customer satisfaction and business growth.

 

Department Overview: Parts Distribution Centre (PDC)
Our 24/7 PDC holds 75K Cat® product lines, shipping 300K lines/month. We use the DEMATIC system for 18K+ small parts, and provide rack and yard storage, hose-building, parts inspection, pick-packing, and customer pickups with multiple WMS for accurate deliveries.

 

Roster Pattern - Mon - Fri (40 hour week)

 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and sales support, resolving enquiries and driving merchandise sales growth.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, product setup, and stocktake activities across key systems.
  • Coordinate ordering, receiving, picking, packing, and delivery to meet customer requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain attractive displays, pricing accuracy, promotions, and CAT Shop presentation standards.
  • Build supplier relationships and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and business performance.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in customer service, sales, retail, or merchandising.
  • Strong communication, customer engagement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with experience using MS Office and business systems.
  • Proven organisation, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Cash handling accuracy and strong attention to detail in stock management.
