Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, BT Compliance - Wealth Management

What’s the role?

As Senior Manager, BT Compliance, you'll play a key role in helping BT Financial Group (Westpac’s wealth management division), navigate an evolving regulatory environment while protecting customers and supporting sustainable business outcomes. Based in Sydney or Adelaide with a permanent full-time opportunity available, you'll be a senior leader within BT’s second-line Compliance function, setting strategic compliance priorities, embedding a strong risk culture, providing oversight, guidance and challenge across a broad range of compliance activities.

You'll lead the review and monitoring of the compliance and conduct management framework, policies and obligations to ensure they are effectively embedded across BT. Working closely with senior leaders, risk teams, Legal, Regulatory Affairs and business stakeholders, this is a role where you'll influence outcomes, build strong partnerships and help shape a proactive risk culture. You'll also support and coach a high-performing team of compliance and risk professionals, creating an environment where people can grow, collaborate and do their best work.

  • Experience providing oversight, challenge and guidance across compliance, risk and governance activities.
  • Strong written communication skills to translate complex topics with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across diverse teams.
  • Strong judgement when managing complex issues, incidents, regulatory matters or remediation activities.
